LVT Fitting: Done Properly
LVT rewards proper subfloor preparation more than almost any other flooring type, because its thin, rigid tiles show every imperfection underneath. Boards or tiles need a smooth, primed subfloor — self-levelling compound is used where boards are uneven or old adhesive residue needs skimming over. Acclimatisation matters too: LVT is left in the room it's being fitted for at least 24-48 hours beforehand so the material settles before cutting, avoiding gaps or tightness later. Click LVT floats over the subfloor with expansion gaps at the perimeter, while glue-down, Karndean-style LVT is bonded directly for a firmer, commercial-grade finish.

Can I supply my own materials for you to fit?
Yes — plenty of customers buy their own carpet, vinyl or flooring and book us for the fitting alone, at £12–£18 per m². We'll still come and measure first so you order the right quantity, and flag anything that might affect the fit.
Will you take away my old flooring?
Yes — uplifting and disposing of old carpet, vinyl or flooring is standard on most jobs that involve a full uplift. If your job doesn't naturally involve an uplift, such as a small repair, just ask when you get your quote and we'll price it in.
